A perfect day out for the family

We decided to visit Loro Parque while staying in Tenerife, and it was absolutely brilliant. The grounds are beautiful and filled with palm trees, making it easy to walk around even in the sun. My favorite part was definitely Planet Penguin. I have never seen such a huge enclosure for penguins, complete with real snow! Our kids loved the sea lion presentation because it was very funny and entertaining. Everyone spent the entire day there, arriving around 10 AM and staying until closing time. If you visit the island, you really should add this to your plans.

Incredible animal habitats

I was really impressed by how clean and well-maintained the whole park is. All the animals look healthy and well cared for. Watching the orca presentation was spectacular, and the sheer size of those animals is hard to believe until you see them close up. We bought our tickets online, which saved us from waiting in the long lines at the entrance. Make sure to arrive early so you have enough time to see everything without rushing. Great value for money!

Michel
Exceeded our expectations

Loro Parque exceeded our expectations. The park feels more like a massive botanical garden than a zoo. It was very hot when we visited so it was wonderful to find natural shade in the park. The number of parrots they have is just incredible, and the penguin exhibit is a lifesaver when you need to cool down. The sea lion and orca shows were definitely the highlight, and the staff clearly loves the animals. Such a great day out!

EXPLORE TENERIFE'S FAMOUS WILDLIFE PARK

Loro Parque is much more than a traditional zoo. Since it opened in 1972, it has grown into one of the most respected zoological institutions in the world. Located in Puerto de la Cruz, the park is known for its exceptional beauty and focus on animal conservation. As you walk through the entrance, you will notice the beautiful Thai village and lush tropical plants. Paths are very easy to navigate, and there are plenty of shaded spots to keep you cool on a hot day.

SEE THE AMAZING ANIMAL PRESENTATIONS

One of the main reasons people visit Loro Parque is the incredible animal presentations. Your ticket gives you access to all four of them. At Orca Ocean, you will see killer whales showing off their strength. Just be careful if you sit in the front rows, as you might get splashed! Visitors can also watch dolphins performing amazing jumps and sea lions entertaining the crowd with their clever tricks. Parrots shows highlight the intelligence of these colorful birds and raise awareness about protecting their natural forests.

DISCOVER UNIQUE HABITATS

This park is home to a wide variety of animals from all over the world. Planet Penguin is a massive indoor facility that replicates the freezing climate of Antarctica. Inside, you will see a huge iceberg and hundreds of penguins diving into the icy water. If you enjoy birds, make sure to visit Katandra TreeTops. This walk-through aviary lets you climb up to the treetops and watch exotic birds flying freely around you. For families traveling with young children, Kinderlandia offers a great place to burn off some energy. Kids can enjoy climbing structures, a fun slide, and the custom Orca Roller Coaster.
