About Scuba Diving Tenerife
Join a scuba diving tour in Tenerife and explore the ocean. Your adventure starts in Costa Adeje with a professional PADI instructor. They will teach you the basics so you can feel completely comfortable in the water. You will ride a speedboat and dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters. MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Your journey begins at the dive center in Costa Adeje. Here, you will meet your PADI-certified instructor and the rest of your small group. They will give you a 30-minute safety briefing and explain the basics of scuba diving. You will learn how to breathe properly and communicate underwater. This ensures everyone is ready and confident before heading out to sea.
BOAT RIDE TO THE DIVE SITE
Once you have your gear, you will board a speedboat. The ride to the diving spot takes about 15 minutes. Enjoy the warm breeze and look at the beautiful Tenerife coastline along the way. The captain will take you to a special area known for its rich marine life. Keep an eye out for flying fish jumping over the waves!
DIVE UP TO 12 METERS
Now it is time to get in the water. You will descend to a maximum depth of 12 meters with your instructor right beside you. There is one guide for every two divers to provide constant support. Breathing underwater is a unique sensation that you will quickly get used to. During your 25-minute dive, you will get an up-close look at the ocean floor. You can see Atlantic sea turtles, bright fish, and graceful rays swimming around you.
SNORKELING AND RETURN
After your dive, the fun continues on the surface. You will spend another 25 minutes snorkeling in the clear waters. A guide will show you where to look for more turtles and fish. Once everyone is back on the boat, you will ride back to Costa Adeje. The whole experience takes about three hours from start to finish.

Interesting facts about Tenerife marine life
Tenerife is home to a rich variety of ocean creatures. The waters around the island are warm and clear all year round. This creates a perfect environment for five different species of sea turtles. The most common is the loggerhead sea turtle, which you can often see near the coast. The ocean floor is covered with volcanic rocks that provide shelter for many fish and rays.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
All participants must complete a medical questionnaire before diving. Please wear contact lenses if you need vision correction. Regular glasses cannot be worn under the diving and snorkeling masks. You must wait at least 12 hours after your dive before flying or going to a high altitude. Minors aged 8 to 17 must have an adult supervising them on the boat. The boat ride and activity take place in the open ocean, so please bring sun protection.
